Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a need to operate the next transfer destination by an operator of an attendant board at each time to reduce the load of the operator and to shorten the holding time of an office-side subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A storage device 3 of a private branch exchange is provided with a series call storage part 5 where storage position information of a central office trunk 2 and storage position information of plural extension subscribers are stored. At the time of incoming to an extension subscriber 6 through the central office trunk 2, a central controller 4 receives a special number inputted from the extension subscriber 6 after the end of speech; and when discriminating a series call connection request, the controller 4 converts number information of extension subscribers 7 and 8 as series call connection destinations inputted from the extension subscriber 6 to storage position information and stores this information in the series call storage part 5 correspondingly to the central office trunk 2. When detecting on-hook of the extension subscriber 6, the central controller 4 reads out storage position information of the extension subscriber 7 from the series call storage part 5 and connects the extension subscriber 7 and the central office trunk 2 through a speech path (b). When detecting on-hook of the extension subscriber 7, the central controller 4 reads out storage position information of the extension subscriber 8 from the series call storage part 5 and connects the extension subscriber 8 and the central office trunk 2 through a speech path (c).
